1. This website

novellapos.com is a static website. It does not use cookies, it does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not build a profile of you.

The contact form on this site does not submit anything to a server. It assembles the details you type into a message and hands them to your own email application, which you then choose whether to send. Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere unless you send that email yourself.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of a request — such as your IP address, the page requested, your browser type and the time of the request — in order to serve the page and to protect the service from abuse. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy practices, not by this policy.

If you email us

When you write to us, we receive your message and whatever you chose to put in it, including your email address. We use it to answer you and to keep track of the conversation. We do not sell it, rent it, or add it to a marketing list you did not ask to be on.

2. The Novella POS application

Novella POS is a Windows desktop application that runs on a computer you own and control. It is not a hosted service that we operate on your behalf.

Where your business data lives

The information you enter into Novella POS — your products and categories, your sales and transaction history, your customer records and store-credit balances, your employee records, your discount rules and your cash-drawer sessions — is stored on the machine the application is installed on. It is your data on your hardware.

Payment card information

Novella POS does not handle raw payment card numbers. Card entry takes place inside a hosted tokenization widget supplied by the payment gateway, and card data passes from that widget to the processor without going through the application. Novella POS never receives, transmits or stores a full card number.

Card payments are processed through Accept.blue using the merchant account and API credentials that you supply. Your relationship with Accept.blue and with your processor is your own, and their handling of transaction data is governed by their agreements with you.

Your gateway credentials

The Accept.blue API credentials you enter in Settings are stored encrypted at rest on the device. They are not transmitted to us.

Licensing

Each install of Novella POS is activated with a cryptographically signed license key that is verified on the device itself. Activation does not require an internet connection and the application does not contact an activation server to check it.

3. Children

Novella POS is business software sold to businesses. This website and the application are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

4. Changes to this policy

Novella POS is in active development, and this policy will be updated as the product and the website change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately.
